The operator of the hostingy.net website (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) is DIGITAL WOLF s.r.o., Company ID: 07253451, VAT ID: CZ07253451, with its registered office at Hlavní 341/102, 664 31 Lelekovice, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Brno (hereinafter referred to as the “Operator”, “we” or “us”). These privacy policies explain what personal data we collect, how we process it, and what rights you have.
1. What data we collect
1.1 Data provided by the user
- Account registration — first and last name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), optionally website URL.
- User reviews — rating (1–5 stars), review title, review text, pros and cons, optionally website URL. Reviews are published under the name assigned to your account.
- Newsletter — email address and language preference (Czech, Slovak, English).
1.2 Data collected automatically
- Cookies and analytics — if you give consent via the cookie banner, we load Google Tag Manager (GTM), which may collect browsing data such as visited pages, time spent on the website, browser and device type, approximate location based on IP address, and referral source. No analytics scripts are loaded without your consent.
- Affiliate redirects — when clicking an affiliate link (e.g., hosting provider link, coupon, or plan), we record which link you clicked and from which language environment. We do not store your IP address or device identifier.
- Browser local storage (localStorage) — we store a login token (JWT) to maintain the session and your choice regarding cookies (
cookie-consent). This data remains only in your browser and is not sent to third parties.

3. Sharing data with third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following cases:
- Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics — analytical browsing data, only if you consent to cookies. Processing is carried out under Google's terms.
- Ecomail — email address and language preference for sending the newsletter. Ecomail is a Czech email marketing platform.
- Hosting provider — your data is stored on servers of our web hosting provider within the EU/EEA.
No other third parties have access to your data unless required by law.
4. Cookies
When you first visit the website, a banner will appear requesting your consent to cookies. You have two options:
- Accept — analytical scripts (Google Tag Manager) will be loaded.
- Decline — no analytical scripts will be loaded. The website functions fully without them.
You can change your choice anytime by deleting the cookie-consent item in your browser's local storage (localStorage), which will cause the banner to reappear.

5. Data retention period
- Account data — for the duration of your account. Data will be deleted after account deletion.
- Reviews — for as long as they are published on the website. Upon account deletion, reviews will be anonymized or removed.
- Newsletter — until you unsubscribe.
- Analytical data — according to retention settings in Google Analytics (usually 14 months).
- Affiliate clicks — aggregated statistics without personal data, stored indefinitely.
6. Your rights
As a data subject, you have the following rights under GDPR:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of your personal data.
- Right to rectification — you can request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you can request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Right to restriction of processing — you can request restriction of how your data is processed.
- Right to data portability — you can request export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent — you can withdraw consent to cookies or newsletter at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ), www.uoou.cz.
7. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS).
- Password hashing — passwords are never stored in readable form.
- Access to administration is limited to authorized persons.
- API is protected by authentication keys and token verification.
8. Processing of children's data
The website is not intended for persons under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you discover that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete the data.
9. Changes to these policies
We may update these policies occasionally. We will inform you of significant changes via a notice on the website or by email. We recommend reviewing these policies regularly.
